The Hall

The Village Hall comprises a single large space together with kitchen, toilets and storage space. The licenced capacity of the hall is 120 persons. However, the actual capacity will depend upon the layout of tables and chairs, and other requirements for space. The maximum capacity for private parties is 80 persons.

The dimensions of the main hall are length 14 m (46′) x width 7.3 m (24′) x height 4.3 m (14′). The hall floor is wooden. The hall is well-lit and heated during the Winter. In addition to the main hall lights, there are two sets of LED stage lights which are programmable and can be used by bands and other shows.

The gas central heating system is remotely controlled, and programmed to heat the hall when occupied.

The hall is fitted with a ceiling mounted projector and a 3.5 metre wide motorised projector screen which is available to hall users by prior arrangement. A professional sound system is also installed and continuously available to all users.

There is a serving hatch between the main hall and the kitchen, which can be used as a bar, as well as for serving tea, coffee and snacks.

As well as the main entrance on the west side of the building, there is a double door fire exit at the north west corner of the main hall, and an exit via the kitchen. All windows are provided with good quality curtains, except the large window on the North end of the hall which has vertical blinds.

The hall is equipped with chairs (120) and folding tables (10 large, 12 small). These are stored mobile carriers in the hall’s storage space, and can easily be brought into the hall for setup and breakdown.
